Men's studies in Denmark is an interdisciplinary academic field devoted to topics concerning men, masculinity, gender, culture, politics and sexuality. It academically examines what it means to be a man in contemporary society almost every time in relation to several other parameters.
Chairman Simon Simonsen was co-founder (2002), boardmember for a decade and currently president for a decade. His is candidate of philosophy and holds a Ph.d. in Men’s Health and a Master of Public Governance. He is former alternate for Danmark in the Nordic Forening for forskning om Mænd og Maskuliniteter (NFMM). Simon Simonsen was appointet by former minister of equality to board of equality. He was founder of Men's Health Society Denmark, former president & former vicepresident for a decade. Simon Simonsen - and millions of other men - has turned away from a feminist-positive stance, and now sees current feminism as a part of our problem for understanding men.
